W8JKC Clyde Blair
in 1959. Clyde was
one of the many 160
meter operators in
the early 60’s

One of Clyde’s
QSL’s was from Barry
Goldwater, a US
Senator and avid Ham
radio operator.

Chick, W8JR, was
very active on 160
meters. Napoleon
Ohio was consider DX
on 160 meters by
many Toledo Hams.
Chick, like Clyde,
was a heck of a nice
guy.

W8IQC Fred
Mahaney was a good
friend of W8JKC Clyde’s.
Fred and Clyde were
two of the first
stations I heard on
160.
